Sunday July 19th, Belle Vue Speedway will present fans nationwide with the unique opportunity to experience the scale of the sport’s new home in Manchester for themselves.
From 10am - 2pm, contractors ISG have granted permission for an area of the National Speedway Stadium to be made accessible to visitors so they may view the development from close quarters.
Local residents are also most welcome to attend the event, which will give the community the chance to see first-hand the transformation currently underway in their neighbourhood.
As with Cardiff, the Belle Vue Aces will have a significant presence on site where fans will have the opportunity to buy tickets for the Grand Opening Meeting which will be on sale alongside BV 500 memberships and the popular Buy A Brick initiative.
A designated viewing area has been allocated to the north-westerly edge of the construction site, adjacent to the now completed 3G Pitch, which can be easily accessed from Kirkmanshulme Lane.
For health and safety reasons, visitor numbers will be limited to groups of 10 people on the site at any one given time and the situation will be monitored by both ISG and BV nominated security.
After signing in guests will be escorted down to the viewing area by representatives from ISG, who will be more than happy to answer any questions relating to the build effort.
At the request of the contractors we would urge fans in attendance to please remember that while no heavy machinery will be in operation, the entire area still remains an active construction zone.
Sensible, flat footwear is therefore absolutely essential for those wishing to venture onto the site and individuals found not to be complying with this request will be immediately denied access.
Parking will be available in the site cabin compound on Pink Bank Lane, as well as the limited space along Kirkmanshulme Lane for any fans travelling to us by car. All visitors will be supervised at all times.
